A Home Town Experience

Want to explore new ways to create emotive images through styling, shooting with natural light, posing, and post production? Let’s find your voice as an artist and discover what drives your passion in this industry. Spend 4 days with a small intimate group of other artists, and myself to be inspired, and recharged. Allow me to help transform your career in short amount of time, with knowledge that took me years to master and implement. Help me provide an experience that I only wish I had in my beginning stages. Most importantly, come prepared for an all inclusive retreat that will lead to self discovery, and growth. With that being said I’m sure you’ve got lots of questions, so keep on reading.

xx, Jesse

November 2024 Kansas City Workshop

You will spend 3 nights in my beloved hometown, Kansas City—A beautiful area with fun nightlife, eclectic style, and some of the most amazing people. So pack your bags for this all inclusive experience—some sweat pants for a cozy wine night, relatable talks about being a partner, parent, and a photographer. All meals within the studio will be provided—catered dinner (night 1), light breakfast(s) in studio, lunch, snacks, drinks and all the wine on me. Let this retreat, take care of you, and leave the worries behind. I’ve got you covered, babe.

Refer to my Travel KC page to hopefully answer any questions about my home, and to visit this years lodging location!

What’s included.

Three amazing days, lasting friendships, and endless learning! This all inclusive workshop experience (excluding travel) will take place in Kansas City. Enjoy the serenity of winding streets covered in maples, industrial architecture, and the spring blooms—there really is no place like home. My studio will offer you a full experience (the best in my opinion) on creating a seamless aesthetic, and shooting in natural light.

Ticket sales go live Monday, April 22nd, 2024 12PM CST.

In order to keep the workshop experience intimate, only 7 seats will be available.

Past workshops have sold out within seconds, and that is no joke—so set a reminder!

For those considering attending that live in other time zones, I recommend you refer to the link here to double check the time in which ticket sales will go live in your area.

things of importance.

Qualifications for Purchase

The link to purchase will be located at the bottom of this page, and shared on social media platforms.

There are radius restrictions in place of 100 miles. With that being said, you must live, and operate your business outside of a 100 mile radius of Kansas City. You must have basic knowledge of Lightroom as well as own and operate a DSLR in manual mode—I will not be teaching basic camera functions. I highly recommend the 24mm, 35mm or 50mm but others are great too. Laptops are highly recommended but not required.

Please note that this workshop isn’t exclusive to any gender. We welcome everyone and will make sleeping arrangements accordingly. Sleeping arrangements may include room/bed sharing for some.

Payment & Exclusions

You may purchase a ticket in full, or a non-refundable payment $1,500 is due to reserve your seat, then two payments of $1,000 are due Monday, August 19th 2024 and Monday, November 4th 2024. The ticket price DOES NOT include the cost of a rental car (I recommend ride sharing & Uber’s), travel/flight—so book your flight reservations, and travel accommodations soon. I have lots of recommendations for your stay in KC (refer to my Travel KC page). The ticket price includes Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday night stays, studio snacks, studio drinks, studio catered lunches, and a bag filled with merchandise from my favorite vendors both local and within the photography community.

No refunds will be given as the workshop will not be cancelled, only rescheduled in regards to COVID-19. If you cannot make the rescheduled date chosen by Jesse Salter Photography, you are responsible for selling your ticket. If resold, proof of repurchase must be provided to Jesse Salter Photography, and the resale price must remain no more than the original purchase price. Upon receipt of purchase, you’ll be invited to a private Facebook group. Here you will get to know other attendees, discuss travel, receive workshop timeline details, transportation suggestions, and ask any questions about the workshop or everything photog life related.

Questions.

Please contact JSPhotographyEDU@gmail.com for any questions regarding the workshop.

Communication through email, and or social media DOES NOT secure your spot for the workshop. You must purchase a ticket in-order to officially be an attendee.
